The Counselor Education Department at Northeastern Illinois University's Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education prepares skilled, compassionate, and culturally responsive counseling professionals to serve the diverse communities of Chicago and beyond. Our M.A. programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Couple and Family Counseling, School Counseling, and Rehabilitation Counseling are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), ensuring your degree meets the highest standards of professional preparation and positions you for licensure and certification in Illinois and across the country.
